Living and working in India and Sweden from 2011-18, James is now based in the UK.
As a journalist, James writes for The Times, Times Education Supplement, Songlines Magazine and frtyfve. He has contributed to music and international media output on both BBC Radio 3 and the World Service.
In 2019, James has started to work for 'EasyJet Traveller' magazine owned by Ink Global.

In Education, James successfully ran Music Departments in schools in India (The International School Bangalore) and Sweden (IES Uppsala) after qualifying as a fully qualified teacher in the UK in 2009. He now occasionally teaches Music and English in schools around the UK.
In Music, as an organist and pianist, he has collaborated with musicians around the world in classical and world fusion music.
